HOW I WORK

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered. I work alongside clients to identify values, internal resources, and patterns that shape their experiences, while gently challenging self-critical beliefs that may keep them feeling stuck.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sessions are tailored to support meaningful, sustainable change and often include practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion.

AREAS OF FOCUS

  • Anxiety and mood disorders

  • Emotional regulation and distress tolerance

  • Complex trauma and PTSD

  • Personality-related patterns, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

  • Perfectionism, work stress, and burnout

  • Parenting stress and boundary setting

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

In addition to my private practice work, I support Veterans within healthcare settings as they navigate the psychological and relational impacts of military service and life after service. This work has strengthened my ability to support individuals experiencing complex trauma, identity shifts, and long-standing stress patterns. I also serve as a graduate-level instructor, training future clinicians in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to care. My background in community mental health informs my work with a strong foundation in cultural responsiveness, flexibility, and systems-aware care.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT

Clients often describe my approach as grounded, validating, and steady. My goal is to help you feel understood while building practical tools and insight to navigate emotions, relationships, and life challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-trust. If you’re unsure whether we’d be a good fit, we can talk it through — you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME, ME

  • I consider myself to be a writer before a social worker. Art and creativity definitely intersect within the way I practice clinically.

  • I am passionate about professional development outside of social work and enjoy work centered around empowering professionals looking to break into new fields, leverage and pivot.

  • I am a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated and enjoy any opportunity to connect with my Sorors all over the world.
