EBONY DAVIS, LCSW
Ebony supports adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, and complex mental health concerns.

She has extensive experience working with complex trauma, personality-related patterns (including Borderline Personality Disorder), and high-stress life transitions. Ebony is often a good fit for individuals who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in intense emotional cycles and are seeking steady, compassionate support.

HOW I WORK
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered. I work alongside clients to identify values, internal resources, and patterns that shape their experiences, while gently challenging self-critical beliefs that may keep them feeling stuck.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sessions are tailored to support meaningful, sustainable change and often include practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion.

EBONY DAVIS, LCSW
Trauma, Maternal Mental Health & Emotional Regulation Therapy
Ebony supports adults navigating emotional overwhelm, trauma, and the complex family and identity experiences that shape how we move through the world. Much of her work centers on women exploring maternal mental health, complicated or strained relationships with mothers or caregivers, and the lasting impact of family roles and generational expectations.
Many of the individuals Ebony works with are high-functioning or high-achieving and are used to holding things together for others while quietly carrying their own emotional weight. She offers a supportive space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of patterns that may have felt overwhelming for a long time.

HOW I WORK
My approach to therapy is collaborative, grounded, and client-centered. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up fully as yourself — especially if you’ve spent much of your life being the one who holds things together for everyone else. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning or high-achieving and are used to carrying emotional responsibility in their families, relationships, or professional lives.
I work with women navigating maternal mental health and identity transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum experiences, and complicated or strained relationships with mothers or caregivers. I also support clients exploring generational expectations, the pressures of being an eldest child or first-generation adult, and the emotional impact of roles they may have been placed in for years.
I have experience supporting clients navigating trauma, including generational and racial trauma, as well as mood and emotional regulation challenges such as bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, and anxiety. My work focuses on helping clients build greater emotional regulation, self-understanding, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Sessions are tailored to each client’s needs and often include practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion so that meaningful change can feel sustainable in everyday life.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
In addition to my private practice work, I support Veterans within healthcare settings as they navigate the psychological and relational impacts of military service and life after service. This work has strengthened my ability to support individuals experiencing complex trauma, identity transitions, and long-standing stress patterns within therapy. I also serve as a graduate-level instructor, where I help train future clinicians in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to mental health care. My background in community mental health continues to shape my work with a strong foundation in culturally responsive, flexible, and systems-aware therapy.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT
Clients often describe my approach as grounded, validating, and steady. In our therapy sessions, my goal is to help you feel understood while also building practical tools and insight to navigate emotions, relationships, and life challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-trust. We move at a pace that feels supportive and intentional, creating space to explore difficult experiences while developing skills that can help you feel more regulated and supported in everyday life. If you’re unsure whether we would be a good fit, we can talk it through together. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy.
