DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
You're the one who holds it all together. You always have.
You manage the family, the calendar, the everyone-else's-feelings, and you do it well. But lately something feels off. Heavier. Lonelier. Harder to keep up with. The weight you've been carrying has caught up with you, and you don't know how to put it down without everything falling apart.
Therapy with me is where you start to put some of that weight down.

HI, I'M EBONY!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with women navigating motherhood, mother wounds, generational trauma, and the emotional weight of being the one who holds everything together.
The clients I connect most with are high-functioning, high-achieving women who've been the eldest daughter, the family translator, the project manager — at home, at work, in their relationships. You're capable. You're competent. And you're tired in a way that goes deeper than sleep.
Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and steady. We move at a pace that supports actually feeling things, not just describing them, while building tools that make change feel sustainable in your real life.
"You're tired in a way that goes deeper than sleep."
WHO I WORK WITH
The women I work with often…
…are navigating early motherhood and feeling like a stranger in their own life.
…love their mothers and also carry grief, anger, or resentment from being parented in ways that didn't fully see them.
…were the eldest daughter, the family translator, the project manager — the one who held it all together.
…are high-achieving professionally but feel emotionally depleted at home or in relationships.
…are first-generation adults carrying the unspoken weight of family expectations.
…are living with mood or emotional intensity (BPD, bipolar, complex trauma) and want a therapist who won't shy away from the harder work.

HOW I WORK
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and client-centered. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up fully as yourself, especially if you've spent much of your life being the one who holds things together for everyone else. I integrate evidence-based approaches:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
For understanding the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
For emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and steadiness in intense moments.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)For moving toward what matters even when life is hard.
Sessions are tailored to each client's needs and often include practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion — so meaningful change feels sustainable in everyday life.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Clients often describe my approach as grounded, validating, and steady. My goal is to help you feel understood while building practical tools and insight to navigate emotions, relationships, and life challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-trust.
We move at a pace that feels supportive and intentional. There's space to explore difficult experiences alongside developing skills that help you feel more regulated and supported in everyday life.
If you're unsure whether we'd be a good fit, we can talk it through together on a free 15-minute consultation. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

In addition to my private practice work, I support Veterans within healthcare settings as they navigate the psychological and relational impacts of military service and life after service.
This work has strengthened my ability to support individuals experiencing complex trauma, identity transitions, and long-standing stress patterns.
I also serve as a graduate-level instructor, training future clinicians in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to mental health care.
My background in community mental health continues to shape my work — culturally responsive, flexible, and systems-aware.
THINGS THAT MAKE ME, ME
A writer first. I consider myself a writer before a social worker. Art and creativity intersect with how I practice clinically.
Beyond clinical work. I'm passionate about professional development outside of social work and enjoy empowering professionals exploring new fields, pivots, and reinvention.
Sigma Gamma Rho. I'm a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and enjoy any opportunity to connect with my Sorors all over the world.
